ASHI Inspector

The ASHI Inspector level is for ASHI Members who have more experience as a practicing home inspector and have refined their technical knowledge.

Skills / Knowledge

  • Completion of all Associate level requirements
  • Obtain or maintain your home inspector license if your state requires licensing. If your state does NOT require licensing, you must provide proof of passing the National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE)
  • Pass the ASHI Standard of Practice and Code of Ethics education module
  • Have inspection reports successfully verified for compliance with ASHI's Standard of Practice
  • Submit valid proof of at least 50 fee-paid home inspections that meet or exceed ASHI Standard of Practice
  • You must remain current in your ASHI dues, and obtain 20 ASHI approved CE annually

Refined over the years, the Standard remains an influential document across the industry, and ASHI Members continue to adhere to the Standard today.
